It may be a normal summer visit to the zoo…but in these series of pictures, the animals are mostly caught in their most natural habitat, happily grazing on open fields and mingling among each other (except for those predatory ones, who were mostly isolated) and among visitors. It’s fascinating to see these animals so up-close…even more fascinating to be able to catch them on (digital) film.
While the Northeast winters are one of the harshest in the country, I wouldn’t be in any other place during the summers. The landscape is so lush, and plants grow effortlessly anywhere. In this side of God’s country, flora and fauna are being nurtured by Mother Nature herself. So even for people who don’t have green thumbs, such as ourselves, we grow beautiful, lush gardens.
