Zoo Life

It may be a normal summer visit to the zoo…but in these series of pictures, the animals are mostly caught in their most natural habitat, happily grazing on open fields and mingling among each other (except for those predatory ones, who were mostly isolated) and among visitors. It’s fascinating to see these animals so up-close…even more fascinating to be able to catch them on (digital) film.

Barely Spring in Quebec City

We have heard of so many good things about Quebec City. If I will be conservative with our schedules, I’d say we’ve been meaning to visit Quebec City at least within this lifetime. Turns out, the only thing that will bring us there will be a short notice visit from a friend. We didn’t get to do that though because of some unforeseen circumstances from our end…but given the hotel reservation cannot be cancelled, we opted to visit in the spring…or at least what we thought would have already been spring.

Quebec City is our 5-hr trip to Europe. It boasts of castle-like infrastructures, narrow cobble paths and alleys are reminiscent of a different era…or century even. Rich heritage and character adorned the whole city. The weekend day trip was definitely worth it. Unfortunately it wasn’t spring enough to see some foliage on the photos…just a bunch of naked twigs and leftover pile of snow waiting for sunshine just like the rest of us. It doesn’t matter though, as it doesn’t change the fact that Quebec City is absolutely gorgeous. It’s definitely worth visiting again.

A Toronto trip is a must every year.   My sister who lives in a suburb nearby  is my closest family we have in bloodline and logistically.  A trip to Toronto is always refreshing aside from the fun get together with family.  Besides, it’s a beautiful, diverse  young city bustling with activity.
